Terms of Service

By creating an account or using ELOXP ("the Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

To use ELOXP, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
• Not be located in a jurisdiction where skill-based competition platforms are prohibited
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

ELOXP is a skill-based competition platform, not a gambling service. Outcomes are determined entirely by player skill in chess.

ELOXP provides:

• Match Creation: Create or join skill-based chess matches with entry fees
• ELOXP Skill Points: Earn points based on gameplay quality and multipliers
• ELO Rating System: Progress through divisions from Rookie (800) to Grandmaster (2400+)
• Secure Escrow: All match entries are held in escrow until match completion
• Automated Settlement: Match results are verified via Chess.com or Lichess

A platform service fee of 10% is deducted from the winner's payout. This fee supports platform operations, security, and prize pools.

4.1 Deposits

Deposits are processed via Stripe. Minimum deposit is $5.00 USD. All deposits are final and non-refundable except as required by law.

4.2 Withdrawals

Withdrawals require identity verification. Processing time is typically 3-5 business days. Minimum withdrawal amount is $10.00 USD.

4.3 Match Entries

Entry fees range from $1.00 to $10,000.00 USD. Once a match begins, entries cannot be refunded. In case of disputed results, ELOXP reserves the right to investigate and make final determinations.

4.4 Escrow

All match entries are held in secure escrow. Funds are released only upon verified match completion or cancellation before match start.

ELOXP maintains strict fair play standards. The following are prohibited:

• Use of chess engines or computer assistance during matches
• Collusion with opponents or match manipulation
• Creating multiple accounts (multi-accounting)
• Intentional disconnection to avoid losses
• Exploiting bugs or platform vulnerabilities
• ELO manipulation or sandbagging

Violations result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of funds, and permanent ban. We utilize Chess.com and Lichess anti-cheat systems in addition to our own detection mechanisms.

ELOXP is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount deposited by you in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party platform (Chess.com, Lichess) availability
• We are not liable for losses due to your failure to secure account credentials

You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon closure, any remaining balance (minus pending matches) will be available for withdrawal.

ELOXP reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations. In cases of fraud or cheating, funds may be forfeited.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with standard arbitration rules.
